Cane pruned MV6 clone on free draining volcanic red soil with North Easterly aspect at 200m elevation.
20% whole bunches, remainder not crushed for retention of whole berries. Cold soak and fermentation in open fermenters. Wild ferment. Pumped over and hand plunged. Elevage in large format French oak, 30% new Damy Alliers, for 11 months on lees.
No fining or filtration. Estate bottled.

Order WineEl Wanderer is a single vineyard wine made from hundred year old bush vine Carinyena vines. Carinyena is the local Catalan word for Carignan, a red grape variety found along the Mediterranean rim that produces medium bodied fragrant wines of rustic charm.
The vineyard from which this wine is made was crafted in a very special part of the world. The Emporda is a little known wine region an hour and a half north of Barcelona. It is in the north eastern most corner of Spain, right at the French border.

For three weeks only from late August to mid September MGC will be teaming up with Gembrook Hill Vineyard and the Wanderer Wines to showcase a unique gin and wine offering.
What do these three brands have in common? - they're all produced by winemaker/distiller Andrew Marks
The Cellar Door Experience will take place at Forest Edge, a sprawling Yarra Valley event venue just 300m down the road from Gembrook Hill Vineyard - where MGC Gins are made.
On offer will be gin flights, wine tastings, cocktail bar service, bar snacks, merchandise and bottle sales. There’ll also be an opportunity to buy wines from the back-catalogue of vintages and purchase limited releases across the board. And of course a chance to chat with the makers!
The Cellar Door will run over the following 3 weekends only:
Saturdays and Sundays 12-5pm

Sept 7th / Sept 8th
Sept 14th / Sept 15th
