El Wanderer
El Wanderer is a single vineyard wine made from hundred year old bush vine Carinyena vines. Carinyena is the local Catalan word for Carignan, a red grape variety found along the Mediterranean rim that produces medium bodied fragrant wines of rustic charm.
The vineyard from which this wine is made was crafted in a very special part of the world. The Emporda is a little known wine region an hour and a half north of Barcelona. It is in the north eastern most corner of Spain, right at the French border.

Chenin Blanc
From a mature vineyard in the Upper Yarra. It was hard to resist the challenge of making wine from the only Chenin Blanc grapes in the Yarra Valley.
The vineyard had languished untended for a number of years before the property changed hands. With the change of ownership a great deal of energy was invested in the renewal of the vineyard. The vines needed a very hard pruning and thus did not yield any grapes for the first year. This inaugural release celebrates the rejuvenation of the vineyard.
In the winery the aim was to produce a “euro” style dry white. Not overly aromatic but with great texture and mouthfeel. The wine is showing great promise at this early stage. As Chenin Blanc is renowned for producing age worthy wines we are looking forward to seeing how the wine develops with age.
